All quotations are issued in EUR and are valid for 30 days from the date they are provided.​

For website orders, full payment is made at checkout. For orders placed directly with our team, full payment is required upon confirmation, with the exception of custom Meltingpot dining tables (9P and larger), for which a 50% deposit is required to begin production, with the remaining balance due before dispatch.

Dutch VAT (BTW) applies to orders delivered within the Netherlands. For orders going to other EU member states or international destinations, the applicable tax treatment will be confirmed at checkout for website orders, or stated clearly in your quotation for orders placed directly with our team.

We offer shipping worldwide.

We currently provide kerbside delivery only, ensuring your order is safely delivered to your address for your convenience. Please note that this service does not include moving the items inside your property or arranging them on site.

We ship on Ex Works (EXW), Delivered at Place (DAP), or Delivered Duty Paid (DDP) terms. Under DDP, all duties and import taxes are included and handled by us.

Our team is happy to advise on the differences between these options and help you choose the most suitable one for your order. Shipping timelines and responsibilities vary depending on the selected term.

• Ex Works (EXW)

Under Ex Works, the buyer collects the goods directly from our facility and is responsible for all transport, export/import clearance, duties, and taxes from that point onward.

• Delivered at Place (DAP)

Under DAP, we arrange delivery to the specified destination, while the buyer is responsible for import clearance, duties, and local taxes upon arrival.

• Delivered Duty Paid (DDP)

Under DDP, we handle the entire process including transport, customs clearance, duties, and import taxes, so the goods are delivered fully cleared to the agreed destination.

Our team will provide you with detailed information once your product is ready for shipment.

All products are shipped in heavy-duty cardboard packaging with reinforced corner protection. For certain products, wooden crating may be recommended and is charged separately.

Customs formalities, import duties, and associated fees at the destination are entirely the responsibility of the buyer. These are determined by the laws of the receiving country and are beyond our control. Any resulting delays do not entitle the buyer to cancel the order or request a refund.

Once production has started, cancellation is no longer possible. Deposits are non-refundable, as they represent the commitment of materials and workshop time already made on your behalf. For our other products, contact us as soon as possible, we'll let you know what's still possible depending on how far along your order is. Made-to-order products cannot be returned. Each product is crafted specifically for you, and the time and skill invested in its production means it cannot be restocked or resold. If you have a concern about something you have received, please contact us at office@kooij.com and we will look into it with you. 

For other products, if you're a consumer and purchased a product through our website (an online/distance sale), you can cancel your purchase without giving a reason within 14 days of receiving it. Return shipping costs are at your own expense.

To qualify for a return, the product must be complete, undamaged, unused, and in its original packaging. We need to receive it back within 21 days of the date you received it, with sufficient postage attached. You're responsible for the product until it reaches us, so we recommend using a trackable shipping method and keeping proof of postage.

Our products are designed for indoor use. Exposure to direct sunlight may cause fading over time.​

Our production process has evolved over the years. Our earlier tables had transplant parts. However, we have since transitioned to solid recycled material, which gives a more consistent and refined result. Therefore, we do not use transparent material in Meltingpot & Staple tables and Menhir benches anymore. It is also not possible to use our lamp material as transparent material since it is not suitable for the production process of these products.
